Does it really matter? OK..I'll skip the philosophical questions and get down to my brief autobiography.
On the personal front:
I believe in the motto "Sieze the moment..live for the day". I enjoy driving and currently have a black BMW X5. Before that I had a black BMW 328i. I love BMWs, as all my friends and family will testify to. You can find more details on my passion for cars on the WHEELS section of this site. I also love flying and am currently a student pilot, working towards my Private Pilot certification. I've flown a few solos..an exhilarating though scary experience. A section of this site called WINGS is devoted totally towards flying, so check out that if it interests you. I'm also a music freak and am learning the keyboard now. I listen to all kinds of music and love Broadway. I like travelling and spend a lot of time outdoors. I take every opportunity I can get to visit new places. I've also become a health nut, much to the surprise of my friends back home, who knew me in the days when spent my time locked up at home working 20 hours a day. | |
On the work front:
I am one of those computer freaks or geeks that spends way too much time in front of the monitor. I started working with computers in the good old days of DOS, long before the days of GPFs (General Protection Faults, for those who have had the fortune not to come across those dreaded MS Windows errors). I don't want to be a hypocrite - inspite of this..I have to admit I do use Windows myself. I have Linux installed, but haven't quite figured out how to actually do anything productive with it! For those Linux fans who want to flame me for that statement..I've provided a handy dandy Feedback form ...
But let me not ramble on..getting back to the point..I've been developing apps in Clipper, Foxpro, then onto the world of Windows with Visual Basic and PowerBuilder, followed by Lotus Notes, which I still work on. I also do websites as part of my job, as well as for myself and others in my spare time, using web tools like NetObjects and and languages like Java of course
Other stuff I want to do:
I like helping others and was helping out a group called Global Youth Connect that is led by and for young people, which supports and encourages youth activism for human rights and social transformation. If you would like to do any kind of voluntary work, you can match your skills with requirements on this great site - www.volunteermatch.org that will find you voluntary work that you can do in an area that you are comfortable with.
I guess that about covers it...if there is anything I've left out, I'm sure somebody will remind me.
Cogito ergo sum (I think, therefore I am)
